Batsto Village Engagement Session

Happy Valentine's Day! What a perfect day to share a recent engagement session taken at Historical Batsto Village with this lovely couple.

Stephanie and Phil met each other through an online dating website called OkCupid. They have been together since November 2014. The couple love the outdoor and camping. They took a road trip down to the Smokey Mountains. Phil asked Stephanie to marry him at The Elkmont Campgrounds in front of a night fire next to a running stream at their campsite.

The couple picked Batsto because they love NJ history and the Pine Barrens. They also love the rustic old buildings and the atmosphere of the park.

The couple wanted "just us being us". Phil always wears plaid shirts so Stephanie worked around the color of Phil's shirt. They are more of a private couple and like fun, silly and candid pictures. So during the session I tried to capture more images of the style they like.

Stephanie's hair color and cut was done by Kara Lynn; Blow out by Stephanie; Makeup by Megan. The three talented artists all work at Elan Hair Studio in Seagirl NJ. Stephanie's nails were done by Jenny at Orchid Nails in Freehold, NJ.

Their wedding is going to a champagne brunch on Sunday May 7, 2017. I will be their photographer for their big day. Congratulations once more to Stephanie and Phil's engagement. I look forward to the wedding!
